• Volunteer your time and talent:

  a) Hospital visiting team

  b) Fundraising

  c) Annual Heart Walk (June)

  d) Heart Pillow Assembly (pillows distributed to open heart surgical patients)

  e) Help with monthly newsletter

  f) Help with garden beds at Heart House

• Serve on Board of Directors

• Use your Thrifty Foods Smile Card (Please note: cards MUST be obtained through the Society not at the store AND you may use the Smile card that you already have if you have obtained it from the Society.) If you would like to request a Smile Card, please contact Susan at the First Open Heart Society office at 250-595-2123


How to Use your Card:

The card can be loaded before you shop with any amount you wish. The First Open Heart Society will receive 5% of your purchase. You will also receive points on your Sobey's/Thrifty Club Card. You, Thrifty Foods and the First Open Heart Society all benefit from this card. The card is also great for gift giving.

Our current project, thanks to the Smile card Program, is to the paint the outside of the Victoria Heart House.
