Your Home Away From Home
The original Heart House was started by Jim and Dorothy
McDonald. They leased a house on Kings Road and, using their
own funds, established the first Victoria Heart House. Their
dream of a permanent Victoria Heart House finally came true
with the completion of the present building in December
1988. On January 17, 1989, The Victoria Heart House was
officially opened by the Premier and dedicated to the people
of British Columbia. The efforts of this Society are
endorsed and supported by the cardiac surgeons and
cardiologists in open heart surgery at the Royal Jubilee
Hospital in Victoria.
The Victoria Heart House is designed as a
Bed & Breakfast accommodation intended to be your “home
away from home” and to make your stay as comfortable as
possible. The house provides a friendly, supportive,
relaxing and non-smoking atmosphere and is conveniently located a short walking distance to Royal Jubilee Hospital.
The house has a large bright living room, dining room and
kitchen. There are six bedrooms, each with Queen, double or twin beds.
There is also an outdoor patio and garden for the
added enjoyment of our guests.

Monday through Friday hours 6:30 am – 10:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday hours 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
